The Family In Christ

Genesis 2:24 – Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

From the very beginning – God, in His infinite wisdom, devised the building block of society. Marriage, the cornerstone of the family, which is the very basis of that which civilization is built on. Nothing effects the direction of the community we live in more than the health of the family. In the world today however, the family is sick – on it’s deathbed – and in need of urgent rescue.

Where do we turn, you may ask? Searching the internet reveals pages, upon pages, upon even more pages that tell you which marriage counselor to call, which steps should be taken to make your spouse ‘want’ you more, or which divorce attorney you should call to fight for your individual rights. The list goes on – with the world throwing so much noise at us, there is one thing missing.. Biblical perspective. This however seems to be dismissed out of hand – as it is far to ‘old-fashioned’ for the hip modernist looking for ‘help’. Meanwhile divorce rates are through the roof, unwed parents multiply like rabbits, abortion is skyrocketing, and abominable ‘families’ are forming faster than ever thought possible.

As the individual is no longer seeking God, the family is not properly following God, as the family is falling apart, society is becoming more degenerate, as society becomes more degenerate the individual is no longer seeking God.

So let us look into that which makes a proper family – or dare a say – The Right Family. Regardless of what psychobabble you have been told – there is a right way and a wrong way. Let us look at the right way – and if you are doing it any other way, you are doing it wrong.

Proper Makeup

Recently the biggest thing to besiege what is left of the family, is trying to change that which God had ordained since the beginning of the world. The fact that the family is to start with a man and a woman. The man and woman are separate individuals, are not interchangeable – and not to be confused with one another.

 

Deuteronomy 22:5 – The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

Matthew 19:4-5 – And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female,[5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Now, despite the fact that some will use Deuteronomy 22:5 to preach for days on end about the evils of women wearing pants, (to you men who may think this to be appropriate, let me ask you this – will you go into the women’s department of Walmart and purchase a pair of pants. Wear them in public – or will you not protest that they are women’s pants??) the point of this passage is to prohibit what is commonly known today as cross-dressing, transgenderism, and that which encompasses the entire gender swapping abomination. The creator intended male and female to be separate individuals whom come together as one flesh.

I would ask the scholar, therapist, activist or abominable to point to the passage that condones male/male or female/female couplings and marriage. Jesus said in Matthew that God created them male and female in the beginning, and that the man shall leave his FATHER and MOTHER to his WIFE and become one. Notice the key parts to this passage? God created MAN to leave his home – consisting of a FATHER (Male) and MOTHER (Female) and cleave to his WIFE (Female). You CANNOT have a real family without PROPER MAKEUP.

In this essence – there is no discussion of bastard children, (before you rush out of this post – it is Biblical to use this term Deuteronomy 23:2 , Hebrews 12:8 ) or their acceptance. The idea of having a child out of wedlock is not prt of the proper makeup of that which is the right family. They are raised in a broken home, with no grounding, and no leadership towards the right way.

Proper Hierarchy

This is a hot-button topic in ‘society’ today.. From elementary school, television, and every form of ‘entertainment’ the indoctrination is in full swing telling us that there is no reason that a man should be head of the woman. They pontificate that there is no reason a woman is any less of a capable person than a man. Now, are women less than a man? No – however they are not the same as a man.. (No matter how much a woman mutilates her body, injects the improper hormones, or grows hair in places that make no sense, they are NOT a man.. Just thought I would get that out here.)

1 Peter 3:7“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

Now does this sound as if she is less than the man? I think not – would a man, honour that which is lesser than he? Would a master honour the slave, or the spider the fly? Not hardly – however a weaker vessel, that which is weaker but no less worthwhile and precious would be worthy of such.. As well as the protection of the stronger vessel. This lays out the basics of the relationship of man and wife – we see that the Apostle Peter starts out however in verses 5 and 6:

⁵For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: ⁶Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

There is no doubt in my mind that if the husband and wife were to follow the old time method of the family hierarchy, that things would look much better in the world today than they do now.

Now this is something you will not hear every day – as it is something that gets people picketed, boycotted, sued, attacked, maligned and detested.. However I ask, why? If you are so sure of your inerrant method of looking at yourself madam, how is it that this would upset you so much? Perhaps it is a little bit of natural conviction that you are wrong?? Is it because there is a part of you that longs to not be chasing a career and instead raising children at home where you belong?

Titus 2:5 – “To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”

See, in sitcoms it is a running gag to have the husband be a bumbling oaf, and the wife is either a brilliant figure who controls through her husbands stupidity, or she is a domineering miser who controls him through money, nagging and the like. Where does this come from?

Proverbs 21:19 – It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

I must exclaim that it is not biblical by any stretch of the imagination. Looking back on first Peter 3:7, I must say that in a Christian home, if this is the case, then God is not going to be blessing that household very much..

Ephesians 5:33 – Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Ephesians 5:28 – So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

I Don’t Believe in Marriage!

Rebellion oozes from every syllable of this sentence.. Hatred and ungodliness are not far behind.. The battle cry of the modern era woman.. As she holds on to a child with no father, with no intent of making sure that this child HAS a father, and the intent to reproduce more in the same fashion.. What is this? It is sin… It is wrong.. And it is a detriment to the child that is now introduced into a world of depravity, as a result of said depravity, and little hope of escaping such.

They say with their jaw pushed out, and their hands on their hips, that this is something that they want to do.. They do not care what the bible says about it – they have no desire to listen to any counsel other than the thought of getting what they want. I have to say, it is a heartbreaking sight to see someone intentionally setting out to break the laws of God, and destroy a precious child’s future, all for their own selfishness.

You may say – preacher, is this something that you are just making up for effect? No – I am sad to report that I have seen one mother act this way in person, and have heard of many more.. I must say however – this is wrong.. Emphatically and wholeheartedly this is against the very thing that God ordained at the foundation of this earth.. The family – is being destroyed by those who are to be building it up..

Proverbs 14:1 – Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

No excuse by society will be adequate in explaining away what God says on the issue.. A wise woman buildeth her house, not pluck it down!! Can you have a Godly house without a mother and father? I must say emphatically NO! Now you may say – I do not care about being a Christian, nor do I care to raise my children within the standards (I know – such a dirty word is it not?) of the Bible – (KJB) – so this does not apply to me! I must then say – you are here for a reason.. I doubt this was merely a random visit. Do you not understand that this is something God wanted you to read today? Tonight? This week!?

Repent!

There cannot be a person reading this that was not supposed to – for whatever reason.. You may be getting madder the farther down you have read.. Anger boiling as you think of me daring to say such vile things to you.. First of all, I do not know you, and second – I am writing this as God has put it on my heart. I fear Him much more than I do any comment, or hate mail I might get from you madam.

I ask you to consider what I am saying here – not because I want to be right – but because I want you – whoever you are – to be right with God.. and so I will lay out something – right here – that can help you..

1. GET SAVED! If you have never accepted Christ as your personal SAVIOUR – then this is your opportunity to do so.. CLICK THIS NOW!!!! After this – come back to this page. 

2. REPENT! If you are already saved, or have just accepted Christ (PRAISE THE LORD AND WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!) YOU must see your sin as something that must be changed.. Paul said – 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Male, female, doesn’t matter.. This is the start of a new life.. You must put on the new and get rid of the old.. With Christ truly in your heart, this will be easier than any faux ‘New Year Resolution’ or any sort of new leaf.. Take it to GOD – Repent of your ways and prepare for God to bless you.

3. Seek Guidance – This is the most important thing I can add to this. You need someone who is willing to guide you through the Bible to make and continue to make the right choices in your life. While this is not easy, I am willing to say that you should go to your local Independent, KJB preaching Baptist church. Final Note –

There are going to be a lot of people who read this and dislike, or downright hate every word I have typed.. They will seethe with anger over something like this and wish all sorts of ill-will my way. It does not bother me – as I have not one stitch of ill-will directed at anyone who may read this – either with a positive or negative result. I just ask you to consider this –

If I am wrong, and the Bible is wrong as well, then what have you lost? You have lost nothing, and your miserable situation is just that – a miserable situation. However – if I am right, and God’s Word is correct – (As I wholeheartedly believe it is) then what have you got to lose?? EVERYTHING! Imagine a life that is functioning in a blessed and godly way! Imagine waking up and seeing life fall into place as God sees fit.. Imagine waking up the moment you die in a place of eternal joy and bliss – instead of a dark pit of everlasting flames!

I pray that this has been a blessing to those that have read it – and a seed to those that it may have not reached yet. I may be old-fashioned, but at least I know what I stand for.
