My heart goes out to the victims who are wounded and struggling for their lives and their families, and those who have lost loved ones in this mess. Oh how it breaks my heart that in this day and age MANY of those 17 young people died and split hell wide open! I cannot pray for the dead – however I can pray for those left here alive. I pray that they come to Christ – and that the families of those lost, will not turn away from the Gospel.

The Cause

It is a tragedy for anyone – and one that still seems surreal. No matter how many happen, or how much they are talked about, the death of the youth at the hands of a crazed gunman never is normal, nor should it be. The problem, it is becoming alarmingly frequent, and the drums are now being beaten that attempt to hasten gun control, or mental health codes it seems.

While this is going on – there is one glaringly obvious reason behind it all.. Our people – from the nation, to the state, to the town, to the school, the family, and all the way down to the individual has turned almost completely against God. From? No.. AGAINST. There is a striking difference between these two words..

Against – In opposition; noting enmity or disapprobation.

From –

The sense of from may be expressed by the noun distance, or by the adjective distant, or by the participles, departing, removing to a distance. Thus it is one hundred miles from Boston to Hartford. He took his sword from his side. Light proceeds from the sun. Water issues from the earth in springs. Separate the coarse wool from the fine. Men have all sprung from Adam. Men often go from good to bad, and from bad to worse. The merit of an action depends on the principle from which it proceeds. Men judge of facts from personal knowledge, or from testimony. We should aim to judge from undeniable premises.

The sense of from is literal or figurative, but it is uniformly the same.

Moving from God, would have been a more appropriate description when prayer and bible was taken out of the school, and legal system. From would have been appropriate when the mega-party-churches first started gaining a foothold. From would have been fitting when there was no longer a worry about whether or not God was involved in the home, or in the life of the individual.. However, today we have moved past from and have dived hell-ward into against. “In opposition” says Websters.. Enmity? Disapprobation? Let me guess – the high brow people don’t get these words right?

Enmity – The quality of being an enemy; the opposite of friendship; ill will; hatred; unfriendly dispositions; malevolence. It expresses more than aversion and less than malice, and differs from displeasure in denoting a fixed or rooted hatred, whereas displeasure is more transient.

Disapprobation – A disapproving; dislike; the act of the mind which condemns what is supposed to be wrong, whether the act is expressed or not. We often disapprove, when we do not express disapprobation

What do we see today? Our nation is explicitly against God on every level it would seem.

• Sodomy – Legal and accepted.
• Abortion – Legal, sanctioned and accepted.
• Marriage – Dishonored and legalized for abomination.
• True Christians – Reviled and persecuted.
• Gender destruction – I do not even need to go into this mess.
• All manner of sin is now normal and acceptable..

So what do we have now? We have a society that is ripping itself apart.. Violence, sexual deviance, and almost sheer evil is present in almost ever aspect of our communities. Children are completely against their parents, individualism is infecting everyone to the point where utter selfishness is rampant, and it shows no sign of slowing down. This is even happening in the ‘church’ – as unbiblical meeting houses are flourishing, and God’s house is becoming more and more white headed.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 – This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.This is the biggest description of our society as it sits right now – and before the skeptics come after me.. Scoffing this?

2 Peter 3:3-4 – Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.Yep – you are in here too.. We know you are going to scoff and make fun.. So go ahead and fulfill the scriptures for us.. But I digress..

People wonder – “Oh why – oh WHY are these shootings happening??!!” Friend it is because we are in the last times.. There is no way around this statement – it is winding down to the end.. Jesus himself said –

Matthew 24:37 – But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 

What does this mean? Well – let us look at the days of Noah –

Genesis 6:5 – And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Matthew 24:38-39 – For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Do we see this today?? It is an emphatic YES – we do. It is a shame that the world does not know – or even care to know, about the tribulation which will be coming after the rapture.. Oh sure – there have been movies made about the rapture – however they are wrong.. Not only will everything fly apart immediately afterwards, but those who KNEW what happened and had rejected Christ will be UNABLE to change their mind.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

We are approaching the brink of the end.. Regardless of how many people have cried this from the rooftops for generations – we are indeed coming close.. Have we seen a generation this vile, and wicked? No – and I am terrified to see the next.. Are we doomed to spiral into the end headlong without reprieve? No – there is always a chance for a great revival as Christians awaken to the reality of what is going on – and begin to once again win the lost.. However, as long as they are having their ears tickled in a non-denominational flop house, or sitting in a stale old worldly protestant or faux-Baptists conglomerate – no one will wake up – and then the end will come upon a sleeping church – that will one day wake up to see themselves left behind..

And they wont even be able to realize their mistake.. Till they see God at the Great White Throne..

Revelation 20:11-15 – And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Friend – I implore you to consider what is going on around you.. Do NOT fall for the media, or the Government… THIS IS NOT A GUN OR MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM!! It is a nation AGAINST God problem – and the only solution is to RETURN AND REPENT!!

I pray it is still going to happen – lest we see more tragic events as happened in Florida.. and more precious children, young people, and others, be sent to hell without knowing Christ as their savior.
