I can not think of a harsher statement in the Word of God, as is found in 2 Timothy 3:5, apart from the Great White Throne Statements to the lost, as they depart for their eternal punishment. The Apostle Paul, writing to a young preacher, and dare I say evangelist, Timothy, admonishes him to turn away from those around him living not just in sin, but in apostasy.
Some may say, that this is not something that can be so done these days. The world is just too much, they may complain. Maybe they simply like that mega, non-denominational, drums beating, church. I cannot answer, however it seems as time progresses, that the more sinful the world becomes, the less separated the church is. Then again, as more and more perversions of the Bible are written, the relaxation of doctrine for the sake of the comfort of the people is acceptable… Right?
How many churches pander to those with itching ears? How many churches have the sort of music the world would choose to listen to? How many churches preach that sin is alright as long as you give to the church? I would contend none… Why? It is simply because I do not consider those apostate failings to be any more a ‘church’ than your local McDonalds!
I know, I know.. Harsh.. Too much.. How could I judge another church… Right? Just who do I think I am, for sitting here, typing at my keyboard, calling the local non-denominational gathering place, something other than a church!? How could I dare, to say that any other church, that disagrees with what I am saying, is NOT TRULY A CHURCH!? It is simple… Very simple… In fact, so simple that no one in their right mind, in their Holy Spirit led walk with the Saviour could ever miss..
James 4:4 – Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Ephesians 5:11 – And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].
Now you may say – “Oh come on preacher! Just because the ‘church’ has modern music, doesn’t mean it is a bad place!” To this I would ask this… What is the point of switching to this newer style of music?! Does it have to do with the idea that the old time, hymns of old are no longer relevant? Please, do show me how repeating the same chorus, of ‘Shine Jesus, Shine’ will do anything but lull the crowd into a frenzied trance! Let us not forget the emo-christian groups, and christian-rappers making the rounds in the local non-denominational scene.. Doesn’t such a scene just scream separation from the world!! Does it not just tell the world how much different we are from them!! NO IT DOES NOT!!!
Friend, I am not saying that all of these people are bad people – far from it. However, how many people are sent to hell every day by easy believism being taught before, or after the local non-denominational rock concert? What repentance is being taught among those who have no desire to do anything but chill, and have a good time for Jesus?? God forbid that this should continue… However, it will.. One of the greatest tools of Satan, is not witchcraft, Satanism, demons, or violence.. It is counterfeit Christianity… Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof… From such TURN AWAY.
1 Timothy 4:1 – Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
What is more seducing?? That there is no sacrifice for the Lord? That there is not change when entering His family? Apparently – we all must get along.. We are just one large family of God right? Wrong Again –
1 Corinthians 5:12 – For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
We are to judge our family – those who are within.. Judge them by what? By the Bible – and that is something that they no longer do in the mega-whatever. 20 pastors – all with their own little room.. All with their own little setup.. Leadership comprised of teens, tweens and everything in between.. No one with BIBLICAL backing – save for the New World Whatever sitting on their desk.. Can the quote the King James Bible? Nope.. It offends too many people – makes people uncomfortable.. We don’t want to see that happen.. After all – Who would fill the seats for the praise and worship atrocities being committed? Who would pay for the ‘Christian’ emo concerts?
Jesus wouldn’t – as a matter of fact He didn’t.
1 Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
When the ‘church’ is now no different than the club – there is nothing peculiar about it.
This is not a church –
This is –
Maybe you are entangled in a mess of modernism and apostasy??
I recommend – HIGHLY – reaching out to either us, or your local Baptist church – KJV ONLY – and getting acquainted.. You will not regret making a serious change in a proper walk with Christ.. What do you have to lose? Other than being a part of something that isn’t even real?
From such – turn way.
When I was only a brand new Christian I was given a copy of the NIV bible to use. I used that bible for a couple of years until I stumbled across a website which showed the errors of the NIV compared to the KJV. It was then that I switched over the KJV. Coincidentally, someone (an unbeliever) gave me their old copy of a KJV that they had read previously. I had this sitting at home not being used because I had the NIV.
I have since learnt so much more about the corruption of the counterfeit Bibles that I only prefer the King James Version.
There are so many discrepancies, deletions, omissions and downright error in the newer versions that I won’t use them as my primary bible source.
I know many people love their bible versions, because they are easier to understand. The funny thing about this…

I have driven all over the USA in the short time (2 years) I had been an over the road truck driver – small towns, big cities, North, South, East and West – and there is something that I have noticed, and it is bothering me to the core. The Lord has put this situation on my heart – and I believe it is part of my message – Just how many churches do we need??
In the southeast – there are beautiful towns… Small towns, with southern hospitality, where the people still say “God Bless you” – but there are also times when I see five, six or EVEN SEVEN churches within two or three miles of each other.. Now what, pray tell is this? Is it, my friend, that there are just an abundance of people who appear in this town of 500 people on Sunday, that they need the extra room? NO! I have seen 4 Baptist churches, (Southern, Bible, Independent, Free Will, Missionary, Free Will Independent, Missionary Bible, ETC ETC) all on the SAME STREET!
Now – my reader, I understand that this is wwhere the ‘great’ doctrinal differences between “sects” comes into the picture – however, I have a proposal – How about, we FIX the problem in the churches that have them, instead of further dividing our resources in “planting” another church nearby?? You may say – “Oh no preacher! we can’t do that!” I would contend that we indeed could – and SHOULD! The gospel – the TRUE gospel is short and sweet – (1 Corinthians 15) and SIMPLE! There are churches almost at WAR with one another because they disagree on what the Bride of Christ means – or whether or not divorce is allowed, or some other gnat that they choose to strain at… Meanwhile? The world is headed straight for the pits of hell – and no one is paying attention!
Is it possible, that these ‘church planters’ who take a course in “Bible College” are running around looking for their own little empire? I would have to say this is a definite possibility sadly. To some, the office of ‘Pastor’ is seen as some symbol of authority and might within Christianity – and I would say that this is backwards! While the goal of the pastor is to indeed teach and guide the church, he (YES I said HE) is to also be the SERVANT of the church. I have met pastors who ‘lord’ over the flock – and I would say that this is not the method to which the pastor is called.
I wonder – I truly wonder, just how many of the people who are called to preach are truly to be evangelists? The evangelist is somewhat of a vacant position it would seem in the church community.. Revivals are now preached by pastors of other churches, and some churches have 3 or 4 pastors… Yet who, pray tell, is traveling from church to church, lighting a fire under complacent congregations, shaking up the fold so the pastor can lead them out of their complacency? No one! What happens when the pastor attempts to break through the complacent wall? Church splits! Why? Because that is the job of the evangelist! to essentially step into the church – and break up all the gunk that is built up around the pews!
Now, another group will tell me.. No.. Evangelism is the planting of churches.. To this, I would ask you to explain that to Billy Sunday, D.L. Moody, R.A. Torrey and other great evangelists of times past who, yes may have started a church, but they did not rest their entire ministry on starting new churches every so often. They went to the wells that were running dry, and broke up the muck clogging the lines. Oh how we need that today!
Now, I’m not telling you that if God is calling you to start a church, that you should ignore that call.. God forbid the calling of the Lord be pushed aside! The question is, however – Is the Lord truly calling you to be a church planter?
How many people choose their calling based on what is popular in the group? What the church wants them to do, vs what GOD wants them to do?

Jesus Never Fails
John 1:12 KJV
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
